Abbaye de Reigny

Introduction

Founded in 1128, the Abbey of Reigny is in its green setting of 14 ha, powered by a hydraulic network that you can browse.
Reigny was in the Middle Ages very powerful and prosperous and welcomed up to 300 monks and lay brothers.
The building preserves from its prestigious past some very interesting vestiges, including the exceptional Cistercian refectory of the 14th century, the room and the dormitory of the monks refitted in the 18th century and richly furnished.

The abbey offers today its guided tours, its reception rooms, accommodation and bed and breakfast.

The cultural season begins with Easter and its traditional Egg Hunt, followed by its Words and Music Festival in July and ends with Heritage Days in September.
