Bonnefontaine Park was designed and directed by the famous landscape Denis Bülher and Édouard André.
It's to Denis Bülher that must, among many others, the Thabor gardens Rennes, and Edouard André the parc Monceau in Paris and Hyde Park in London.

The castle today
Castle 15th - 16th Breton Renaissance, large romantic park attributed to Denis Bühler and Edouard André. Created from 1860 during the restoration of the Castle, the Park of Bonnefontaine is a composition of large pierced natural spaces broad prospects framed plantations or groves in successive plans. One can notice "tree of Duchess Anne" as a curiosity. This chestnut on the edge of the main aisle, wearing a sign that "the Britons keep the memory of their last Duchess Anne of Brittany, who sat under this tree toppled by the storm of 1987"
