The castle of Dio, is a real castle which has preserved its imposing walls from the 12th or 12th centuries. Over the centuries it has undergone some transformations, it has been abandoned. At the beginning of the XVIIth century, its dilapidation led the family of the Cardinal de Fleury, prime minister of Louis XV and owner of the castle, to bring him care and new developments. In the middle of the 20th century it will be abandoned again.
In 1997, thanks to the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs and its new owner, the restoration of the castle began.
