Castle of the mill

41230, Château du Moulin, Lassay-sur-Croisne

History

The mill Castle, sometimes called "Pearl of the Sologne", nestles in the Sologne forest. Built by Jacques de Persigny on behalf of Philippe du Moulin, it reflects in his flukes its architecture from the 15th century, pink bricks to losange décor, the slender covered with slate roof.

The castle today

Philippe of the mill saved the life of King Charles VIII at the battle of motet, was knighted on the battlefield and at the same time made a fortune.
