In the Loire Valley, the Château de Brézé is open to visitors since 2000 and managed by its owners, the Count and Countess Jean de Colbert.
Built between the eleventh and nineteenth centuries in the middle of a vineyard of several dozen hectares, it belonged to the powerful family of Dreux-Breze for centuries before arriving, by marriage, in the family of Colbert, descendant of Minister of Louis XIV.
This imposing house is animated by multiple events, summer and winter (exhibitions,
concerts, conferences, games, etc.). With this originality and thanks to the dynamism of the animation team, the site was a resounding success.
After only 14 years of tourism, Château de Brézé welcomes nearly 90,000 visitors a year, of all nationalities, making it the most visited private castle in Maine-et-Loire, the 6th largest castle in the Pays-Bas de la Loire and the 20th site of the Loire Valley.
