Introduction

In Val de Loire, the castle of Cheverny is still inhabited and belongs to the same family since 1634.
It is recognized as the most beautifully furnished castle of the Loire and will amaze you with the richness of its decoration and the density of its marvelous furniture, but also by its 3 marvelous gardens and its labyrinth: the Apprentice Garden, the Vegetable Garden and the Tulip Garden.
Tapestries Gobelins, Flanders, convenient Louis XIV and Louis XV, Regulator Louis XV, House of the King ... and a thousand other wonders will enchant you.

The Castle of Cheverny served as model to Hergé, who by removing the two wings to him, drew the Castle of Moulinsart.
The permanent exhibition "The secrets of Moulinsart" brings to life-sized visitors the events that took place in this mythical place.

Discover the beautiful Castle Park by boat and electric car and do not miss the specialty of the house, hot chocolate "homemade", in a warm and impressive Orangery of the eighteenth century (from April to November).

To the fame of the castle, it will henceforth be necessary to add that of its gardens.
The large lawns as straight as the facade highlight trees of rare species, planted there between 1820 and 1860 by Paul de Vibraye; magnificent specimens that have defied time: linden trees, redwoods and a cedar alley 500 meters long and whose perspective makes it interminable, in short, a real English park worthy of the name!

Between the castle and the orangery: a superb realization, a contemporary garden which extends on more than one hectare. This one is in the precise place where a French garden existed a few centuries ago.

If the walker decides to stroll towards the common of the castle he will find a completely reorganized vegetable garden and in which the vegetables, the flowers, the fruit bushes and the vines mingle harmoniously.

The Tulip Garden: Between the pond and the lawns near the castle, 100,000 tulip bulbs were planted in a 10 meter wide ribbon. Composed of a gradient of colors, these tulips will light the west of the Castle forming the 3rd garden of the castle after the creation in 2006 of the vegetable garden and the garden of apprentices.
