Introduction

Near Caen, Bayeux and the landing beaches, the estate of Pierrepont Castle covers 10 hectares.
The castle, built in the eighteenth century, was the home of the family of St. John de Crèvecœur, Norman nationalized American Consul of France in New York, famous for his "letters from an American farmer" (1792), considered text founder of American literature.

Eric and Patricia Courthéoux have been lovingly renovating it for 25 years. They open the doors of three houses, located on the estate but totally independent of the castle: the Farmhouse, the Pressoir and the Barn.
