History

With a breathtaking view of the Dordogne valley, come and stay in one of the most beautiful private castle of Périgord. From his bedroom or the terrace, we particularly appreciate the breathtaking panorama of the valley. Renovated with all modern comforts, the castle has 9 rooms for up to 16 people.

The castle today

At the heart of the Périgord Noir, the origins of the castle go back to the Middle Ages (1343), at the time when the Lords of Rouffillac controlled this part of the Dordogne valley. Perched on a hillside, the castle of Isabeau watches, the castle of Isabeau dominates, the castle of Isabeau contemplates ... The house was restored in the nineteenth century to make a "madness" of Renaissance inspiration.

It was finally acquired in 1958 by the eminent French zoologist Pierre-Paul Grassé. Today, her daughter Isabelle Grasse continues to live the estate by opening its doors to visitors looking for an exceptional stay, in one of the most beautiful castles of the Dordogne
