History and famous characters

The castle of Villeneuve is a classic of fortified rural habitat of the 15th century. It consists of a logis seigneurial with stair tower off work surrounded by press, Chapel, stables and farm buildings, housing of servants, fled to pigeons. Blind facades form a protection and allows access only by a carriage door and a pedestrian door. The family who owned it until the 17th was one of the oldest in Anjou.
