The private museum Monticelli, born in February 2010, is located in an exceptional place as much by the works exhibited as by its geographical situation.
Overlooking the bay of Marseille, the Fortin Corbières, built in the nineteenth century, proves to be an ideal location for Adolphe Monticelli. In this space of more than 400m2, you will be able to admire the most beautiful works of this artist.
Outside the opening hours of the museum, we set up seminars, symposiums, company evenings with conference on the place and the exhibited works.
My castle is visitable
Influenced at the same time by Eugène Delacroix, Rembrandt and the works of the Louvre, Monticelli challenges us with his daring and thick keys. An artistic life rich in portraits, still lifes including the famous "Blue Vase", marine, park scenes, drawings share the cozy atmosphere of this museum.
A magnificent private collection that Marc and Delphine Stammegna put at the disposal of the place so that you can admire the work of this artist from 1842 to 1886.
In this timeless place, we set up on the 1st floor of the Museum, 3 exhibitions a year. Exhibitions that are emerging thanks to private collectors who are kind enough to lend us their works and contribute to the dynamism and image of our Foundation.
Not to mention the donations of works that we also receive to expand the richness of our permanent exhibitions.
Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm
