La Mignarde

13100, Le Tholonet
  • Visitable

A simple country house, La Mignarde was acquired in the 18th century by Gabriel Mignard, a rich Aix confectioner. From 1760, his son, Sauveur, planted and expanded the park, adorned with statues and brought the waters that feed the basins. Built in stone Bibémus, the house, built on three levels houses a dining room with a "Chinese" wallpaper and a large living room decorated with a "radassière" housed in an alcove surrounded by pilasters and columns. By taking the path giving access to the park, from the road of Pinchinats, you will see, on the right, the facade of another country house, La Gaude, which is not open to the visit.
