The castle today
The entire manorial of the Quip of the Vau consists of a mansion with lower courtyard and Chapel, surrounded by a wall. The first mentions of Vau's Quip and the family of Bogier date back to the 15th century. The rise of this family continues during the second half of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century, in the ducal Government and the highest political office, which probably explains the construction of this grand mansion. The Manor House is surrounded by lawns with clumps of hydrangeas, roses and rhododendrons. South two terraces overlook a pond of three hectares. To the West a flowery meadow.
Items protected HD: the facades and roofs; the chimneys of the Hall of honor and the part preceding on the ground floor and the attic. Chapel, closed, common, South terraces and walls: registration by Decree of 24 December 1993.
