The goal of the Domaine de La Trigalière is to bring to visitors, serenity and change of scenery. Here, sustainable development is verified, lived every moment. Many people talk about ecology, but very few do. Here the trees breathe. Wild animals are at home and move from one enclosure to another without a fence. To find their trace, to discover their intimacy, one learns as quickly to read the ground as the trees.
The enclosures of century-old oaks, neighbors with young chestnut trees, birches, pines and sylvestres. This mixture of essences and age classes, leads to the diversity desired by Bruno Cheuvreux. He likes to bring back light in the enclosures, to find perspectives, to marry the ponds with the woods, to restore houses which appeal as much to the animals as to the visitors. But above all, with his quiet strength and his look that grows, Bruno permeates future generations, offering them the forest of tomorrow, which he will not see.
The oak François 1er, has witnessed 500 years of great gallop and beautiful hunts of yesteryear. He saw Charles IX, the mad king, grandson of Francis I, relay the old pack in front of the chapel of St. Christine. These oaks, noble old men who knew the Renaissance impregnated the place and amuse themselves with the idea that the second life of the young Trigalière, dates back to 1840.
