Introduction

Characteristic example of Charente housing, this manor, which dates from the construction of the early fifteenth century, is flanked by a square tower leveled and comprises, in the center of its courtyard facade, a polygonal stair tower. It was at the top of this tower that the poet Alfred de Vigny, who had inherited the estate, arranged his study.

My castle is visitable

The house houses a museum dedicated to the life and work of the poet. The estate is a wine estate producing pineau and cognac. We visit the cellars and the distillery.

Visit: Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm; Sunday, from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm
